5 things you need to know about Nagpur Violence.

1. Clashes between two groups started around on Monday in various areas of Nagpur, Maharashtra. An eye witness has quoted saying that he has seen people setting vehicles on fire.

2. This incident happened due to a rumour which spread like a wild fire. The rumour was that few right wing supporters have burned a holy book during a protest demanding the removal of Aurangzeb Tomb.

3. CM Devendra Fadnavis said that stringent action will be taken against people who are spreading these rumours. Also Nitin Gadkari appealed to people to not believe in any sort of rumors.

4.A curfew in place in several parts of Nagpur under Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) as of now. The curfew is in jurisdiction of police stations in Kotwali, Ganeshpeth, Tehsil, Lakadganj, Pachpaoli, Shantinagar, Sakkardara, Nandanvan, Imamwada, Yashodharanagar, and Kapilnagar.

5.A complaint has been filed at Ganesh peth police station saying that holy book was burnt.
